M2Media video recorders with an intelligent AI chip (ADAS+DSM) built into the main body allow you to implement the functionality of monitoring and assisting the driver, as well as the traffic situation, based on video cameras connected to the video recorder.
The DSM video camera allows you to monitor the driver's behavior and condition. The system will promptly warn the driver about the detected situation, and also send information about the alarm event to the dispatcher.

1 Functional description
1.1 DSM monitoring
1. Driver fatigue warning(1) Frequent closing of eyes, when detected, an alarm is activated; (2) Frequent yawning, when detected, an alarm is activated;
2. Talking on a cell phone( 1 ) When a phone is detected in the hand, an alarm is triggered;
( 2 ) A specific time interval (adjustable in time) is set for triggering the fact of detection of an alarm3. Distraction from the road
( 1 ) Driver distraction detection (not looking ahead (distracted left/right)
The alarm threshold is set (for example, turning the head left and right by more than 40 degrees, up and down by 20 degrees or more);
(2) Constant distraction of the driver from the road - the alarm will be triggered;
Note: The camera should be positioned in front of the driver in full face to achieve better accuracy, the angle relative to the face should not be too large, otherwise it is necessary to reset the head turn alarm setting.
4. Driver absence anxiety( 1 ) The identification system does not detect the driver behind the wheel.
( 2 ) Sets a specific time interval when the driver absence alarm trigger will be triggered;
5. Smoking anxiety
( 1 ) When the intelligent AI chip of the dash cam detects that the driver is smoking, the alarm will be triggered; ( 2 ) A certain time interval is set for the alarm to be triggered;
Note: Currently, smoking with a cigarette in the mouth or in the hand is supported (there must be smoke in the frame for smoking in the mouth to be detected. The alarm does not always work for smoking e-cigarettes).
6. System outage alarm
During monitoring, the system checks whether the conditions necessary for the normal operation of driver behavior monitoring are met in real time. When the conditions are not met, a trigger alarm reminds the driver of this:
( 1 ) When the system detects that the camera lens is covered, an alarm is triggered;
( 2 ) A specific time interval is set for the alarm to be triggered.
